About Us
Lagniappe is a small teacher-led Montessori program in New Orleans, LA. We embrace the meaning of the word lagniappe, which signifies offering a little something extra. In the same spirit, we endeavor to provide authentic Montessori education that is inclusive and exceptional.
The classroom is composed of different areas including: practical life & art, sensorial, language arts, math, cultural studies, geography, and science. While academics and rigor are important, we are a community above all, respecting and caring for one another which is why we place a strong emphasis on Peace Education.

Primary Program
Lagniappe offers a safe and intentionally small Montessori program for children ages 3-6 years old in New Orleans, LA. We provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop a lifelong love of learning. There is an emphasis on hands-on learning, independence, and respect for each child's individual pace of development.

Spanish Enrichment
Embracing the Montessori philosophy of holistic education, we're excited to integrate Spanish language and culture daily into our existing cultural work as well as a dedicated 30 captivating minutes a day. This engaging experience will complement our daily exploration of geography, science, and art from around the world, providing an even deeper understanding of global diversity and interconnectedness. From discovering the vibrant art forms of various cultures to exploring geographical landmarks, our students will thrive in an environment that nurtures both academic and cultural curiosity. We're thrilled to expand our educational horizons, fostering a love for language and cultural understanding in our young learners through this exciting addition to our Montessori program.
